My hometown. I never thought about painting here. When I come to visit I am busy with family and there never seems to be the time.
That changed when a potter friend,Marie Lewis of Pine Spring Pottery, asked me to be a part of her summer open house. I knew I needed to have some local paintings as part of this show. First on my list was the iconic Courthouse. The smaller ocher building with the green roof is Bob’s Sub shop, another Clarion icon and where I worked during college and ate many a yummy sub.
