  Sarah takes the urban landscape we see every day and transforms it
into art, making the ordinary....extraordinary!

"There is nothing like painting on the spot and capturing the essence and light of the scene around you. There is something unique about urban landscape...an energy, a rhythm, a vitality...and I feel that when I'm painting. I hope to capture that in my plein air paintings and use that knowledge later when I am working in my studio."

      Sarah enjoys sharing her love of the urban landscape and has been known to convert others who never thought they'd enjoy such a thing. Many never see the lyrical quality of the urban landscape and Sarah is happy to illustrate this in her spontaneous, energy filled plein air painting. She hopes that through her art others will be inspired to look beyond the obvious and aspire to follow their dreams.

       Born and raised in small-town USA (Clarion, PA) at the age of 13, I worked in a local summer-stock theater, fell in love with theater set design and proceeded to make a career of painting sets, backdrops, etc. from Maine to Wisconsin to New Hampshire; finally landing in Delaware and Philadelphia area.
       Fast forward 25 years. I found myself unexpectedly unemployed in December 2013. I’d often dreamed of living a more creative life. With the love and support of family and friends, I launched a new career. Creating ART full time. Sarah began painting en plein air(outdoors) in spring 2014. It is not an easy path, but I have never looked back and feel blessed most days.
