This abstract urban landscape is inspired by my experiences plein air painting.
It took many, many passes and morphed into various things before it became this painting. I think that's what I like about abstract painting...I am never quite sure where the journey is leading me.
The frame is recessed on the back of the painting so the painting hands 1.5" from the wall. This gives a very clean, contemporary look. If desired, you can still frame this piece with a deep frame.
