This painting was a battle. All the brick buildings melded into each other so making them not be one big mass was tricky. I wasn't sure I'd been successful when I left the scene that day.
The more I look at this painting, the more I fall in love with it...the tenacity of that tree amongst all that hard-scape and the luscious aqua on the store front. Challenges push us and that's good.
