This is another one of those spots I have been eyeing for a couple years but it is difficult to access as a painter. There's a busy roadway, no “good” place to set up for a view and to paint. But, I was determined because this steeple is so sleek and graceful!
Obviously, I figured something out and I am glad I did.
My original intention was to paint in the opposite direction where construction was going on but sometimes things do not work out as you plan. Often that is for the best. This painting is stronger in its simplicity than a painting full of construction equipment would have been.
