I was drawing a lot with Sanguine Conte crayon at this time and loved the burnt orange-red color of that medium. I decided to try incorporating that into my painting and this is what resulted. This piece helped lead me into the plein air work I do now and was so much fun to discover! This painting was inspired by a photograph taken at Wilmington Riverfront.
