I’d painted this “L” bridge in the past from a distance. This time I thought I’d get under it and look through it, so to speak. It cast such wonderful, massive shadows, I wanted to capture the coolness of being under the bridge versus the pop of warm sunlight in the distance. Love that contrast!
This was quite a challenging painting for me but it is fun to push yourself. Sometimes you fail but when you succeed, it is a thrill!
