Painted May 2018 for the Wayne Plein Air Community Paint event - Wayne, PA
12 x 12 x 1.5 oil painting
Wayne Plein Air Community Paint is a day during the infamous Wayne Plein Air when community members can come paint for a day and get their paintings hung in a show down the hall from the “pros”. Altho this was the 2nd weekend in may it was COLD. Luckily I had a flannel jacket in the car and gloves too. Surprising how fast your fingers go numb.
Wayne is a fairly well-kept town so finding the grit I am attracted to was tricky. I found this one small street that had an alley vibe. Building backs, fire escapes, dumpsters and parking lots. The curve in the road here with an old watch shop on the corner spoke out to be painted.
