Taking an old plein air painting and bringing new life to it challenges me in a different way and the outcome is always surprising! You can read more about that in a blog I wrote.
This original plein air painting was a bit larger and done in Philadelphia. It was a good painting but something about it never quite worked. Now, cropped down and reworked, it's so much stronger.
I love that I could have never gotten here without first having the not so successful painting. I'm learning that it takes time and layers. Patience is learned! :)
