This plein air was originally done during West Reading Plein Air in 2017. I always liked this painting but I also knew it didn't quite cut it. After being in my inventory and not garnering any attention for 2 years, I figured it was time to have some fun with it!
I basically stared at it for a while and remembered that what I liked about the scene AND the painting was the center section with the red building under the bridge. I felt that part kinda worked and started blocking out the sky. Right away it was a stronger painting! Sooo, I just kept going.
