Lights are all around us; we have contests to see who can put up the most lights, the biggest lights, the prettiest lights. We flock to the lights. Illumination may be a bit harder to find.
Ah, the painting....as a plein air painter, I do love light also, and maybe I see illumination in a way others don't. There are times, like in this painting, when things do glow or when you would not believe that that cloud is THAT pink or the street is THAT purple or blue.
