Italian Market South was painted on 9th Street in Philadelphia in April 2019. The vibrancy and activity of the Italian Market and 9th Street in particular is a challenge to capture in a painting. Interacting with the people passing by made this particularly funand they got a kick out of seeing what I was up to also!
