​Love the vertical shapes in this oil painting and warm color scheme. Unusual for a painting of a winter’s day. I am attracted to urban scenes that so many of us pass by every day but don’t really see. They are worthy subjects in my mind and remind me of modern sculpture sometimes.
This Original urban landscape oil painting was painted plein air (outdoors). The term comes from the French term en plein air, meaning ‘in the open air’. Coined by the Impressionists who were particularly interested in the influence of the changing light outdoors affected color and form.
